On Thursday, 25 March, journalists from over 100 magazines for the musical-instrument and pro-audio sectors gave the Musikmesse International Press Award (MIPA) for products in over 40 categories. The highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of Lifetime Achievement Award to Hartley Peavey.
Journalists from over 100 trade magazines from all over the world presented awards for the best products of the musical-instrument and professional-audio sectors at the Musikmesse and Prolight + Sound trade fairs in Frankfurt am Main. Under the auspices of publishers MM-Musik-Media-Verlag and Musikmesse, international music journalists meet in Frankfurt to select the winners of the Musikmesse International Press Award (MIPA) in over 40 categories.
The awards were presented to the winners for outstanding products at a special evening event with over 300 representatives of international manufacturers and sales organisations. The internationality of the guests underscores the significance of MIPA. Besides Germany, the countries represented at the event included the USA, Canada, Japan, Brazil, South Africa, Russia, Poland, Great Britain, Italy, France, Greece, The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg, Sweden, Denmark, Austria and Switzerland.
