The ‘Sinus – Systems Integration Award’ is presented during Media Systems Prolight +Sound for the extraordinary and creative use of integration and media technology. The award-winning projects are chosen from the fields of museums, education or ‘edutainment’ areas, event areas and entertainment. In line with the professional areas of application, the Award is given in the categories Entertainment, Business, Venue and Information.

| Media Systems Congress – the information event at Media Systems Prolight + Sound |
Media Systems Congress, the biggest information event during the fair, is part of Media Systems Prolight + Sound. It will be held in the ‘Portalhaus’ building next to Hall 11 and is open to trade visitors free of charge. Seminars, lectures, panel discussions and presentations at which speakers explain and present systems, solutions, services, standards and legal issues from the fields of systems integration, media technology and network technology, will take place daily from 24 to 26 March 2010 between 09.45 and 17.15 hrs. This is the first time that the Media Systems Congress is to be held in the new ‘Portalhaus’..

| Opus Award for U2’s ‘360° Tour’ |
‘Opus – German Stage Award’ will be presented for the 9th time during Prolight + Sound. This year, it goes to U2’s ‘360° Tour’ and the opera production ‘Król Roger’. The awards ceremony will be held in ‘Portalhaus’, Room ‘Frequenz 1 + 2’, at 18.30 hrs on Wednesday, 24 March 2010.

| Astera introduces range of completely wireless LED event lights |
Astera, who manufacture high-tech LED solutions, have recently finished developing a complete range of wireless LED products with batteries and wireless controllers built into their housing. These are especially useful for event organizers, as they do not require cable to be laid for the control systems.
