New extensions for MK-012 modular system
Oktava factory is the oldest and major Russian manufacturer of professional audio equipment, famous for its legendary small & large diaphragm true condenser microphones as well as for the finest ribbon microphone ever made.
This year Oktava presents new extensions for the famous MK-012 modular system, allowing to use different capsules with the same microphone preamp.

New virtual control panel for STAGETEC’s AURATUS
At this year’s prolight+sound show in Frankfurt, the SALZBRENNER STAGETEC MEDIAGROUP introduces a virtual control panel software to its popular AURATUS digital mixing console. The software simulates additional control panels for the console which are not physically built in.
Getting started is easy: The GUI runs on any standard PC linked via Ethernet to the new TREM controller unit mounted in the console’s frame. Once set-up and running, the GUI simulates all the control ele-ments so operators have full access to every control that is found on the hardware console’s control surface normally–including all metering, fad-ers and encoders! The result is a new found freedom of choice as to how big or small the physical control surface will be and how it will be populated. Even a minimum desktop layout with just eight channel strips, two encoders and some buttons can have the full power of AURATUS in the background! The virtual control panel targets at small Radio and TV station without the need for huge control surfaces in daily live broadcast.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Vaddio, the leading manufacturer and OEM distributor of specialty PTZ cameras and high-end camera control systems, just released the new Arctic White version of the ClearVIEW HD-18 high-definition robotic PTZ camera.
“As we ramped up production of the HD-18, a number of customers have asked for a white version,” explained President of Vaddio, Rob Sheeley. “Depending on the project, the Arctic White provides our customers an additional color option.”
Due to popular demand, Vaddio released a white version of the ClearVIEW HD-18. The ClearVIEW HD-18 AW has all the same features and functions as the existing ClearVIEW HD-18 including, a 1/3½, 1.3 megapixel CCD imaging sensor, a glass multi-element wide dynamic zoom lens (18x optical), a tally light and a 1.8-lux rating, providing superior images in a wide range of high-definition video applications.
The ClearVIEW HD-18 cameras are the only multi-format PTZ cameras that deliver component HD in 1080p, 1080i or 720p and simultaneous SD video. Control runs via VISCA command protocol or the IR remote that is supplied. High-torque, micro-stepper precision robotics enhance performance with smooth pan/tilt operation for accurate camera movement and control. The HD-18 is compatible with any Polycom or TANDBERG videoconferencing codec.
The new ClearVIEW HD-18 AW is also available as WallVIEW SR (Short Range) and WallVIEW CCU systems. The SR version provides power to the camera, and component HD video back to the Quick-Connect SR up to 100 feet over a single CAT-5 cable. Both the SR and CCU versions utilize the EZ-Port on the back of the camera, making installation even easier. An additional EZIM card for power and video, plugs into the back of the camera for the CCU system. The Quick-Connect CCU unit provides power, control and video up to 500 feet over CAT-5 cabling to the camera. In addition the CCU allows the user to adjust red and blue gain, pedestal, gamma, chroma, knee, iris and gain on the camera module and allows up to three scene settings to be stored in the CCU.

XL2 Analyzer records high-resolution Wav-files with EAP-Option
The XL2 Audio and Acoustic Analyzer now records linear, high-resolution wav-files in 24 Bit / 48 kHz resolution with the optional Extended Acoustic Pack (EAP). At the same time the XL2 measures the sound levels of the monitored live sound or environmental noise, thus audio and level data are stored simultaneously on the Mini-SD-Card. This ideally suits acousticians for further post processing or detailed analysis on the computer.
The high-resolution wav-file recording of the XL2 Analyzer is especially an advantage for environmental noise monitoring. The XL2 logs the actual sound levels and also records the wav-file together on the Mini-SD-Card. All data may be quickly transferred to a third party wav-file editor or post processing software via the USB interface or directly from a card reader. The wav-file format is mono, 24 Bit resolution with 48 kHz sampling rate. The post processing with third party editing software on the computer allows removing segments of unwanted sound sources from the logged audio data and calculates the required sound level results. These post-processed results may be compared with the various simultaneously stored measurement results of the XL2 Analyzer. The XL2 logs all sound levels in A, C, Z weighting at once. Together with the optional Extended Acoustic Pack also the percentile statistics are available.
Live Sound monitoring with ADPCM Wav-files
For applications not requiring the linearity of 24 Bit / 48 kHz resolution, or where it is desirable to minimize file size, the basic XL2 Analyzer already generates ADPCM compressed wav-files. These are typically used for monitoring of live sound events or for violation logging in community sound measurements. For example suppose that an excessive sound level of 115 dBA has been measured at a live event, but perhaps this sound level has actually been caused by people shouting close to the measurement microphone: Examination of the recorded wav-file and logged test results from the XL2 Audio and Acoustic Analyzer will show that the actual normal sound level was below the maximum permitted sound level of e.g. 99 dBA throughout the event. The XL2 Analyzer generates all data for later verifications, thus simplifying monitoring of live sound events.

MAGIC TH6 Telephone Hybrid
The new digital telephone hybrid MAGIC TH6 incorporates six POTS line interfaces, two analogue Audio interfaces and four digital Audio interfaces. As an option MAGIC TH6 can run as a VoIP Telephone Hybrid using the LAN interface as line interface.

STAGETEC NEXUS with 3G SDI Board
At this year’s prolight+sound SALZBRENNER STAGETEC MEDIAGROUP presents the new XHDI 02, a plug-in card for the NEXUS audio network. The XHDI 02’s most outstanding feature is compatibility with each and every SDI format. As the various formats differ greatly in data rate, varying from 270 Mbit/s for SD-SDI, 1,5 Gbit/s for HD-SDI and up to 3 Gbit/s for the new 3G-SDI. The latter is required for productions in the 1080p50 (or 1080p60) formats, which are used in the premium broadcast segment and for digital movie production. Both are areas where NEXUS is often to be found at the heart of the audio installation. Like other NEXUS SD-SDI and HD-SDI boards, the XHDI 02 de-embeds, processes and re-embeds all the audio accompanying the video from and to the SDI stream. The board can be equipped with sample-rate converters and is then able to de-embed the audio even from asynchronous video signals and re-embed them again.

Kreios G by OSRAM: the first highly-efficient LED luminaire for gobo projectors
Kreios G, the new LED luminaire by OSRAM, offers spectacular effects and texts of light. It is the first LED module suitable for use in gobo projectors. Kreios G replaces the traditionally used 50W halogen luminaires and impresses with its high light output, long durability and small dimensions.
With Kreios G, OSRAM provides luminaire manufacturers with an efficient luminaire based LED. The LED luminaire consists of the LED light source, the heat-sink and the control gear. Thus, it is particularly easy to integrate into existing designs. In addition, thanks to its small size and its low weight, it provides new creative freedom in the design of gobo projectors.
Kreios G has a light output of 600lm and is therefore ideal for numerous applications of projectors in spot lighting and special effect lighting. In contrast to conventional light solutions due to the LED lights’ long durability, the light source in a gobo projector will only need to be changed seldomly. One Systems Introduces 112IM 12-Inch Sub
Nashville, Tennessee USA – March 24, 2010 – One Systems, a leading manufacturer of direct-weather-capable loudspeaker systems, introduces the 112IM Sub, the newest member of its range of premium-quality, all-weather products. The 112IM Sub can be used outdoors and can easily withstand extended exposure to rain, snow, ultra-violet radiation and temperature extremes. Its stellar performance and incredible flexibility enable its use in any high-quality sound system indoors or outside.
The One Systems’ 112IM Sub utilizes a single 12-inch (305 mm), high-output, low-frequency subwoofer that is designed to provide additional extended bass response when used in combination with One Systems’ 112IM or 212CIM speakers. The 112IM Sub’s woofer utilizes One System’s patent-pending Inside/Only (I/O) design in which its voice coil is wound on the inside of the voice coil’s structure. This design enables high magnetic system displacement and increased thermal transfer that greatly minimizes power compression and improves reliability.
The 112IM Sub utilizes a thick-walled, injection-molded trapezoidal enclosure that is made with a special resin that enables it to withstand extended exposure to the elements. To improve its weather-resistance and to add to its flexibility, the 112IM Sub utilizes internal structural supports as well as stainless steel rigging points. Its grille uses a 3-layer “rain shield” design that greatly minimizes direct rain contact with the system’s transducer. The enclosure and grille design are rated to IEC 529 / IP45 (solid object penetration to 1 mm (0.04 inches) and water jets from any direction). The enclosures and components are also designed to Mil Spec 810.
To prevent moisture intrusion through the connectors, the 112IM Sub is equipped with a with an internal gland nut and an exterior weather cover for use outdoors. There are a two types of input connections – a barrier strip with stainless steel hardware and a pair of locking 4-pin Neutrik Speakon connectors.
To increase its applications flexibility, the 112IM Sub can be used in a number of different configurations – it can be pole-mounted using its built-in 35-mm / 1-3/8-inch stand adapter and it can be flown or mounted vertically or horizontally thanks to its 17 x M10 rigging points and a vast selection of optional array brackets, mounts and eyebolt kits.

Draper Unveils StageScreen
Spiceland, Ind.) –Draper, Inc. has introduced a completely new concept in staging screens. Draper’s new StageScreen is a unique product that saves setup time and money, and will offer a better return on investment than any screen currently available.
With the StageScreen there’s no need to purchase multiple projection screens. The StageScreen allows you to build different screen formats and sizes with different combinations of the same parts. The more additional viewing surfaces and pieces you buy, the more sizes you can build.
Despite the flexibility of this modular design, the StageScreen’s 20.3cm truss system is stronger than traditional truss, with virtually no deflection even in large sizes.

FaitalPRO HF144 and HF204 new compression drivers
The new HF144 is a compression driver from FaitalPRO: 65mm (2.5”) voice coil, 1.4” mouth, a Ketone Polymer dome diaphragm, 80W nominal power (RMS) and a 160W maximum.
It has an innovative annular phase plug equipped with four slots which improves performance in the high frequencies.
The magnet assembly is based on neodymium slugs, that translate to convenient cost advantages while guaranteeing final performance.
The new HF144 driver demonstrates very high efficiency, with dynamic range of 110 dB (1W/1m) and the frequency response from 0.7÷18 kHz.
The extended response up to 18kHz and the minimum crossover frequency advised, equal to 900Hz, make it universally suited for use in two-way or three-way acoustic systems and enclosures.
The polymer diaphragm is very light, dampened, and works to positively characterize the resonance, making its sound less aggressive.
HF204
A second version of this driver exists, called the “HF204”, created with a 2” exit, that allows matching this driver to an appropriate 2” horn.
Also equipped with a Ketone-Polymer diaphragm and an innovative annular phase plug, it withstands 80 W nominal power, efficiency of 109 dB (1W@1m) and frequency range that extends slightly lower, from 500 Hz to18 kHz.

The One Systems Powered Outdoor Presentation System Sub (POPS Sub) is designed for applications ranging from indoor or outdoor applications such as sporting events, civic celebrations, drama presentations and festivals, etc. that require a high-output, high-impact subwoofer system that can be used in any weather condition outdoors or inside and is easy to move and set up.
The POPS Sub is a powered 18-inch subwoofer system featuring a concert-quality transducer, 1,600 watts of power, full digital signal processing and a tough weather-resistant enclosure. The POPS Sub’s woofer features a 4-inch (101.6-mm) voice coil that is capable of adding substantial bass impact and low-frequency muscle to any sound system.
The POPS Sub’s 1,600 watt, peak-efficiency class-D power amplifier also contains a DSP module. This onboard digital signal processing module provides filtering and crossover functions, free-field optimized EQ plus system dynamics and protection algorithms. It also has an 80-Hz high-pass filtered input that creates a tri-amped system when combined with the matching POPS 15 powered two-way system.
The POPS Sub’s enclosure is made from 18-mm thick, marine-grade birch plywood that is painted with a special polyurethane paint. This enclosure and its wear-resistant finish will withstand rough weather, ultra-violet radiation and the rigors of mobile/portable use. To increase its weather-resistant, the POPS Sub’s grille and rigging components are made of ultra high-grade stainless steel. The enclosure is rigidly-braced to ensure rattle-free low-end performance.
The enclosure has been designed to IEC 529 / IP 56 ingress protection standards and its transducers, electronic switches and input / output connections are designed to meet weather / waterproof requirements.
The POPS Sub comes with a range of useful accessories including 4 very large, heavy-duty pneumatic wheels that allow the POPS Sub and its associated POPS 15 to be easily transported across soft soil areas such as sports fields and large grass areas. The POPS Sub also comes with an adjustable-height, crank-up style mounting pole for elevating a full-range system above the Sub.
